Jacob Wasserman, Humboldt Broncos Bus Crash Survivor, Qualifies for 2024 Paralympics

Jacob Wasserman, who is a survivor of the 2018 Humboldt Broncos bus crash, is going to Paris as a Paralympian later this year.

Steven Ellis of Daily Faceoff reported Wasserman qualified for the 2024 Games in the PR1 men's single category of rowing. The event will be held from Aug. 30 through Sept. 1 in Paris.

Wasserman, who played goaltender for the Broncos and took home the SJHL Rookie of the Year award during his hockey career, was paralyzed from the navel down as a result of the 2018 bus crash that left 16 people killed and 13 others injured.
