Thus far, the offseason for the Heels has been hit and miss. The decisions by RJ Davis and Seth Trimble to return to Chapel Hill give the team an excellent foundation, and the addition of Belmont sharpshooter Cade Tyson should really help open things up. However, Harrison Ingram appears to be locked in on the NBA draft and Hubert Davis has missed on a number of big man targets in the transfer portal. So with at least some of the dust settled, how are the Heels being currently rated?
ESPN has Carolina sitting at number eight in its rankings while both CBS and FOX Sports listed them as the third best team in the country.
