The Detroit Lions have taken multiple steps toward keeping their core together after last season's NFC North title, but quarterback Jared Goff's contract remains a question mark.
General manager Brad Holmes addressed Goff's status during a Thursday appearance on WXYT (h/t Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk) and said he has "faith that it's going to get done" as the two sides continue to negotiate.
"First and foremost, he's earned an extension," Holmes said. "It's important, it's a high priority for us and both sides are working really, really hard and these things just take time.
