Mets Daily Prospect Report, 4/19/24: Nail biters all around

CHARLOTTE 5, SYRACUSE 4 (BOX)

Joey Lucchesi was solid to start, throwing six innings and allowing two earned runs (three total), though he did have his warts on the evening. He did not miss a ton of bats, only striking out four. He walked three and allowed four hits — it was not the most impressive quality start you’ll see, but it was a solid effort. The Syracuse bullpen, however, could not hold the slim 4-3 lead they were given, however. An unearned run (due to a runner on base from an error by Sean Reid-Foley himself) surrendered by a rehabbing Sean Reid-Foley tied it at four, and the Knights walked off Yacksel Rios in the ninth.
