DURHAM – The top-seeded Blue Devils are set to open play in the 2024 ACC Softball Championships on Thursday against ninth-seeded Boston College at Duke Softball Stadium. First pitch is slated for 11 a. m.
After finishing with a 20-4 ACC ledger, fifth-ranked Duke softball secured the program's first regular-season title and earned the No. 1 seed in the ACC Championship. The Blue Devils' 44 wins set a program-high for regular season wins and marked the fourth straight season with 19-plus conference wins.
Boston College (30-23, 10-15 ACC) is coming off a 1-0 win over eighth-seed Syracuse in the opening round of the ACC Championship on Wednesday.
