2024 Cubs Heroes and Goats: Game 36

I’m pleased to add this fellow Steele to my spreadsheet. He had been one of the few Cubs to appear in a game but not yet on my spreadsheet. It was easy to imagine that he’d return, there would be a little bit of rust, and the scoreless streak of Cubs starters would come to an end. Only that’s not how it went. Justin came in and picked up, largely, like he never left. Oh there was the requisite starter returning from injury, short leash. But he did look quite effective and that streak by the starters is in tact and getting to the point of fairly remarkable in modern baseball.
